Safari browser is the default browser for Apple devices, including: macOS, iPhones, iPad’s and so on. It was released first in 2003 by Apple, and it was very briefly allowed on Windows devices for 5 years until 2012.

It is a very popular browser which has taken iPad’s and iPhone’s by storm, with around 54% of mobile browsers using market shares in the USA.

Safari is a lot like any other popular browser.

• Limited with plugin supports: Safari does support extensions, however, when it comes to the plugins which are available for this browser, Safari does lag quite far behind the plugins which are available for Google Chrome.
• No tab icon: “Favicons” are basically just icons shown for websites, and Google Chrome and other browsers will use these icons to tell one browser tab apart from the other, making navigating tabs easier for users. Safari does not have this. When you open a tab on Safari, you will not find any available favicons.
• Safari is Apple exclusive: You could run Safari on Linux, and it was supported by Windows once upon a time, but Safari is mainly a web browser which is made to run on an Apple operating system. You won’t be able to get it on an Android tablet or smartphone, and the Windows version should be avoided as it is lagging behind in terms of updates. This is because Apple does not support it anymore!

To Conclude

Safari has a lot going for it, if you are using an Apple device. However, if you are not, Safari is quite the let-down, or you may not even be able to use it.

It does slack in the plug-in department, but it is very useful when it comes to personalizing your browsing and feeling secure.

We cannot say for sure that it is the best browser out there. Undoubtedly, the one to beat is Google Chrome, but when you use Apple software, Safari is probably the best.

For Apple users, browsing is best done on Safari, but only if you use Apple.
