Zombie Tsunami is a fun endless runner style platform game where the main characters are zombies. Would you like to try what it feels like to be in the skin of an undead? Well, in Zombie Tsunami it is possible and in a peculiar way, since your objective in the game will be to avoid obstacles and turn humans into zombies while you run without stopping. As in other games of the same style, Zombie Tsunami has a system of achievements that you will unlock, as well as help for your zombies.
In Zombie Tsunami you will be a fast zombie (or infected, I don’t want to open the eternal debate between zombies and infected). So, you won’t be one of those boring undead crawling in slow motion, but one that runs at full speed: otherwise, the game wouldn’t be funny, because Zombie Tsunami is basically about avoiding obstacles, such as vehicles (stopped or moving towards you), helicopters, giant bombs or cliffs. In your endless run, you will have to turn other humans into zombies. Thus, the more companions you have, the harder it will be to get killed and you will be able to continue playing. That is, the converted humans serve as extra life. Another element to take into account is the possibility of collecting the coins you find on your way, something that reminds a lot of classic games like Super Mario or some more recent ones, like Jetpack Joyride. And as in other games like Temple Run or Subway Surfers, you have at your disposal a store where you can buy aids or costumes for your zombies through micropayments or with the coins obtained in the game. Finally, and to encourage you to keep playing non-stop, Zombie Tsunami has a system of achievements, that as you complete, makes you level up, which adds more difficulty to the game but also the satisfaction of a job well done as a zombie.
At the gameplay level, Zombie Tsunami lacks the slightest complexity, because to play you only have to press once to jump. The rest of the actions, such as running or eating a human, are automatically executed by the game for you. The gameplay is very complex when you are in charge of a herd of zombies, because it is not so easy to calculate the distances and know when you should jump to avoid losing your whole herd.
At the graphic level, Zombie Tsunami is not a wonder, far from it. Its graphics, although funny, can be improved, because although the objective was to create 3D monigots, the result is somewhat questionable. However, over time you get used to it, and the costumes available will seem like a must-have accessory.
If you like addictive and fun games that lack plot complexity, those games that you do not stop playing while you go by bus or train to forget everything, Zombie Tsunami you’ll like. Besides, you will be able to have some laughs in the first games with the characters that you will find in your career as the living dead.
