Alternatively, if you are on a phone call and want to change it to a facetime call, then simply tap the facetime icon and the call will change to FaceTime once the other person has accepted.

The good news is that with IOS 15, we can finally use FaceTime on android phones. On your iPhone, you simply need to open your FaceTime app, tap ‘create a link and send that link over to your android buddy.
Once your buddy has received the link all they need to do is tap the link, enter your name when requested, and join! You’re in. Happy FaceTiming.
There is no android facetime app, you do need a link, however, the link will work on all android devices, as well as PCs and Windows computers.

The Group Facetime Bug: In 2019, FaceTime had a scandal whereby it allowed users to eavesdrop on FaceTime calls without other users knowing they were in the call because they weren’t required to accept their invite to the call. Shortly after the bug was named FacePalm.
Apple disabled the Group FaceTime feature until the issue was fixed.

Unfortunately, if you’re not an Apple customer then FaceTime isn’t of much use to you.
With technology advances, Android users can finally enjoy a call with a link, but sadly Apple does not want to allow the app to be downloaded on other devices, and it doesn’t look like they’re going to change their mind any time soon.
