Cats are great but they can be a problem. They leave hair everywhere and are always meowing for food, not to mention their penchant for tearing up your furniture while you sleep. My Talking Angela offers all the benefits of having a real cat but without the drawbacks. It is a virtual pet in the style of My Talking Tom that you must feed, care for, clean, dress and play with.
There are many reasons to get attached to My Taking Angela. The most obvious is the virtual pet concept, which includes everything you can imagine: cuddling, feeding, showering and putting her to sleep. We’ve seen these parts many times before, but they are well integrated into the app so you won’t get bored. But besides taking care of the kitty, you can do many other things in My Talking Angela. You will find many fun mini games like Brick Breaker, Suitcase Tower, and Puzzles (a kind of Tetris). These games are very simple to play and very addictive. Their only drawback is that your progress is not saved when you close them. Another interesting aspect of My Talking Angela are the sticker packs that you unlock by leveling up and performing tasks. Each of these packs contains stickers that you can place in a virtual album. You can even exchange stickers with other players, which is a very original feature in this kind of apps. But if one aspect of My Talking Angela will especially appeal to little girls, it is the possibility of changing the kitty’s clothes and decorating the house. Clothes and items can be bought with in-game money, which is earned by leveling up Angela, playing mini-games and, of course, paying real money. As in Talking Angela and the other “Talking” games of Outfit 7, here you can also make Angela repeat with her feline voice everything you say. You can also record the screen and share the resulting video with your friends.
My Talking Angela is extremely easy to play, making it an ideal app for children, even the youngest ones. All the game menus are explained the first time you use the app, the controls of the mini-games are very simple and the menus are large and very illustrative. When you perform certain tasks, the required object will be highlighted so that you know to use it. For example, when you are soaping Angela the shower will light up to let you know it is time to rinse her. This is a very subtle feature to let you know what to do next. The design of My Talking Angela is very nice. The app is dominated by the color pink and Angela’s character is extremely expressive; with her eye movements and the sounds she makes you will detect her mood. However, the music of the mini-games is heavy and it ends up getting in your head.
My Talking Angela is clearly not for everyone. Its tasks may be tiring for players looking for more action; in that case, avoid this app. Now, for some others, especially young children, My Talking Angela is a healthy form of fun and an entertaining way to learn how to care for a pet.
