Pocket, formerly known as Read it later, is an excellent application that allows you to save articles when you are surfing the Internet or when you see them on Facebook, Twitter or when a friend sends them to you. By logging into the app or Pocket’s online service, you can read them whenever you want, even offline. If you are one of those who do not always have time to read or simply want to enjoy reading articles or watching videos in images anywhere, Pocket is one of the best apps in its category.
Pocket’s service is excellent in terms of functionality. Everything you save to your Pocket account is automatically synced to your account and you can view it on your Android, iPhone or any computer connected to the Internet. The Pocket mobile application, on the other hand, is a very good solution to have the articles you are interested in reading in one place. It includes more than enough features: offline reading, list of favorite articles, tags, highlights, archive… Sharing is also quick and easy. As one of the most popular services in its category, along with Evernote, it has a variety of complementary services, such as browser extensions or Feedly integration, which makes it very practical. You can, for example, save links in one click from Chrome or Firefox.
Pocket is an online service, you will need to register to be able to access it from any of your devices: Mac, PC, mobile… Once this is done, synchronization does not require any work on your part, although you can adjust some preferences such as file downloading (only in WiFi mode or not). Pocket’s design is attractive, the navigation is comfortable and the customization options are complete. The result is a very practical application to have what really interests you. Unlike Feedly-style readers, in Pocket you decide the contents, in detail, yourself. The labels, the division of articles according to their format (videos, images, texts) and the very visual style of the application make it very easy to use.
Pocket fulfills a clear function: with the amount of information, articles and videos that we share and receive daily, there is not always time to read them. What better than to keep them all together in the same drawer? Pocket does it wonderfully, it synchronizes between all your devices and saves only what you want.
