Chrome Remote Desktop is an application that will allow you to access from your computer or smartphone to any other PC or mobile device through the Google Chrome browser. It works as a simple extension and is very intuitive. In fact, it is much more agile and easy to use than AnyDesk, for example.
Very easy. First of all, it is essential that both computers have the Google Chrome browser and the Chrome Remote Desktop extension installed. Once this step has been completed, click on the application icon from the source computer, i.e. the one on which you want to receive remote assistance. A unique code will then be generated. This unique code is a security mechanism. The user of the source computer must provide it to the other user. The latter must enter it in the specified box, which will give him immediate access to the computer or mobile device. You can then do whatever you need to do. The changes will, of course, be recorded.
Specifically, with all types of computers and mobile devices on which Google Chrome can be installed. We are talking, for example, about Windows and Mac OS, but also Android and iOS. This is a versatility that not even similar veteran applications such as Team Viewer can match.
Beyond the security code, the only thing Chrome Remote Desktop needs is a stable internet connection on both devices. In this sense, Google recommends its users to access via wifi or Ethernet cable. Data plans may not be enough. Chrome Remote Desktop does not distinguish between platforms. By this we mean that, for example, you can access a Windows computer from a Mac or iOS device and vice versa, being able to enjoy the same tools and functionalities.
In short, Chrome Remote Desktop is one of the simplest and most effective remote access programs that you can find today. In fact, it is designed so that any user, even if they do not have great computer knowledge, can use it safely. A good way to save unnecessary trips.
