Gods of Rome is the latest game from Gameloft and brings the gods of Rome, the gods of Greece and many other heroes of history in a fighting game with a simple control system and adapted to cell phones. It is not original, we already had Marvel: Contest of Champions, but it is a simple, fun and graphically spectacular game.
The story of Gods of Rome takes us to meet the son of Hades, Tenebro, who has decided to dominate the world using existing gods and heroes. To do this he has taken over their souls; only a hero will be able to confront Tenebro and put an end to this curse. A simple story to start a fighting game and although it is called Gods of Rome, we have gods and heroes from both Roman mythology and history, as well as Greek mythology. Thus we find Mercury, who is a Roman god, while Hades is a Greek god or for example we have as a hero Achilles (Greek) while we can also see Spartacus, from the Roman era. A license that helps to make the number of characters available is huge and has nothing to envy to Marvel: Contest of Champions that had at its disposal all the characters of the Marvel universe.
Gods of Rome is a fighting game in the style of Street Fighter, but completely adapted to cell phones. The system is identical to the aforementioned Marvel: Contest of Champions. With side scroll, but without jumping, we have four basic moves and one special. Weak attack, medium attack, strong attack and defense. With these moves you can create combos of all kinds and kill the enemy in a simple way. If you accumulate enough energy, the special move will be activated and, therefore, you will be able to take a large amount of life from the enemy. All this is controlled by touch and with simple gestures it is possible to do it easily on any cell phone. Gods of Rome also has a character evolution system that serves to make them stronger. To this we must add the huge number of different heroes at your disposal. It is precisely here where the game has its typical free to play aspects. While you do not need to pay to play at any time, it is true that by buying packs you can evolve in less time and get different and higher quality heroes. Gods of Rome is a game that is graphically extraordinary. The gods and heroes are very well represented physically and the visual effects take full advantage of the capabilities of your mobile. One of the aspects where it clearly surpasses the Marvel game is in the environments in which we will fight, much less monotonous and very recognizable taking into account the mythology of the different cultures.
Gods of Rome does not cheat. It’s a mobile fighting game with amazing graphics and very simple to play. It’s fun, very fun and the gameplay is perfect for any portable device. If you add to that a fair payment system and continuous updates, you have hours of fun for your mobile and totally free.
